Biography

Dr. Hogan joined the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, at the ӰԺ as an Assistant Professor in March 2008. She received her MD from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine in 1995. She subsequently completed a residency in Internal Medicine/Primary Care at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts in 1998, and a three year fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City in 2001. She is board certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Hogan relocated to Milwaukee and joined the faculty in 2008 and her primary role has been providing comprehensive and compassionate specialty and primary care to HIV-infected individuals at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. She is a member of The Infectious Disease Society of America, the HIV Medical Association, the American Academy of HIV Medicine, the American College of Physicians, and Alpha Omega Alpha.

Research Interests

Dr. Hogan began her career after fellowship at the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center at the Rockefeller University in New York in 2001 where she was involved in clinical and translational research with respect to acute and early HIV infection. She chaired a multi center clinical trial through the Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group entitled "The Setpoint Study" which examined the effect of a finite period of antiretroviral treatment on subsequent virologic control in persons with newly acquired HIV infection. She also precepted fellows and practiced at Columbia University Medical Center.
