The overarching goal of the program is to train exceptional clinicians, qualified to provide expert care for individuals living with movement disorders. As such, the core fellowship training will consist of a comprehensive clinical and educational program. Clinical exposure will include general movement disorders clinics, botulinum toxin clinics, deep brain stimulation programming, and management of levodopa-carbidopa intestinal gel infusions. The fellow will also participate in the multidisciplinary deep brain stimulation case conference and regular video rounds/case conferences with the movement disorders faculty. However, the program is also designed to be flexible to meet the individual goals of the trainee. For example, fellows may choose to spend additional time dedicated to deep brain stimulation intraoperative management, clinical trials, or independent research projects.

Elective experiences are also available in other subspecialties which overlap with movement disorders, including the sleep disorders, cognitive disorders, and normal pressure hydrocephalus clinics. Depending on the fellow’s needs, either 1-year or 2-year tracks will be available. Training will occur primarily at the Froedtert Hospital and , and the .

Through this program, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of faculty members. You can learn more about them on our ӰԺ Parkinson's and Movement Disorders team page.
