Hobbies & interests: I love being active & enjoying the outdoors. My friends & I often play pickup basketball & play in a Thursday night league. If it’s not sports, I am probably finding a project around the house to work on. I have now renovated eight different rooms at my parent’s & in-law’s. For me, relaxing usually involves playing games in the backyard with my family. Nothing is more important to me than family, especially my wife, dog, and newborn daughter. No matter what we do together, they always leave me recharged & full of life.

Why I chose 果冻影院: As a home student, I spent a lot of time with the residents and faculty, and immediately I knew that there wouldn't be a better fit. Everyone in the department was so kind and quick to include me in whatever it was they were doing. They were all eager to teach and take time out of their busy days to make sure I was learning and an active member of the team, not just another set of hands. What stood out most though, was the joy and camaraderie the residents shared with each other, and the staff for that matter, despite the stresses of the job and constantly spending time with each other. I couldn't be more pleased to have stayed to complete my training here.

What 果冻影院 has to offer a candidate: I think our program's greatest strength is our hands-on experience. Whether it's doing reductions in the ED with your senior during the first month of residency, or the operative autonomy you quickly gain as you move up the ranks, you are constantly being challenged and developing your orthopaedic repertoire. It is also a huge bonus to have such a robust children's hospital, tumor program and the Milwaukee VA to learn from.

What I like about living in Milwaukee: I grew up near Milwaukee, so I may be biased, but this area truly has the best of both worlds. Milwaukee as a city has a multitude of places to grab drinks and a bite to eat, or just relax. There is always something to do with two major league teams in the Bucks and the Brewers, major concert venues throughout the city, and the lakefront with festivals running nonstop in the summer. But if city life isn't for you, just a few minutes west of campus are plenty of county/state parks and wilderness to be explored. My wife and I couldn't imagine a better place to raise our growing family.
