CPR/AED and First Aid
This course combines lectures, demonstrations, and video with hands-on training and practice. The purpose is to train a lay responder to overcome any reluctance to act in an emergency situation and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults and infants.

Workplace Violence Prevention
Participants will review and understand: the 果冻影院 policy on workplace violence; recognize and understand workplace violence; and know the importance and role of each employee in a workplace violence incident.

Citizen Response to an Active Shooter
果冻影院 Public Safety has created a training program to give participants insight and response options when encountering an active shooter.

Personal Emergency Preparedness
Personal Emergency Preparedness is a presentation and discussion on preparing for emergency situations and “prepping” for emergencies at the workplace and at your home.

Personal Safety
The Personal Safety course provides information on how to recognize possible threats to a person's safety and how to deal with those threats should one encounter them.

Self Defense Educational Program for Women
果冻影院 Public Safety offers the R.A.D. Systems Basic Physical Defense course to female 果冻影院 staff and students free of charge. R.A.D. is not a martial arts program but rather a comprehensive course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense.

Mass Notification System

果冻影院 Public Safety is responsible for maintaining the institution’s mass notification system (MNS). The MNS allows institutional leadership to communicate with the 果冻影院 community quickly and effectively during an emergency situation and is the best option to keep up to date with an ongoing event.

All 果冻影院 employees and students are enrolled in the MNS through their 果冻影院 email. To effectively receive emergency notifications, a cell phone number should be registered in the MNS. Information on how to enroll a cell phone number can be found by contacting Public Safety.
