Research Interests

As a global surgery research fellow, my research will focus on implementation of safe and effective care both domestically and abroad. I will be working with Dr. Katie Iverson assessing the prehospital system in Lima, Peru with a multi-institutional, mixed-methods study. By examining the experiences of those directly involved in urban trauma care in Peru, we will conduct a needs-assessment of the prehospital system to identify key areas for improvement. Lessons learned from this study will be used to design a targeted intervention for future implementation.
