Pavneet Banga, MD., MPH, serves as a Research Associate at Center for Precision Public Health (CPPH) at Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI). She received her MD from Windsor University School of Medicine and Master’s in Public Health from Michigan State University. Since attending medical school, Pavneet’s passion has been understanding and implementing preventative strategies that improve the health of the whole community. Her work with CPPH involves working with qualitative and quantitative data and using data to evaluate project activities such as survey design and implementation. Pavneet’s current projects are centered around child and adolescent mental health, behavioral health and opioid misuse. She is fascinated with root cause analysis and population health in increasing awareness of health inequalities and health disparities and wants to apply that knowledge in helping disadvantaged and underrepresented communities.
