Biography
Hello! My name is Reagan Stultz, and I am from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2021, majoring in Genetics & Genomics and Life Sciences Communication. I held a buffet of roles and responsibilities throughout my undergrad career that helped build skills essential for a Genetic Counselor. I was an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Svaren's lab at the University of Wisconsin. As an undergraduate researcher, I was involved in projects involving transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of myelination and treatment of peripheral neuropathies. Here, I gained my love for research, which I am excited to take into my career as a Genetic Counselor. After graduation, I worked at an industry lab where I helped develop Gene and Cell therapies. I wanted to move to clinical research to build relationships with patients and be involved in research directly impacting patients' lives, which led me to my role as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Mayo Clinic. My advocacy and counseling experience includes volunteering as a helpline advocate at Domestic Abuse Intervention Services, where I provided emotional support and essential resources to survivors. As a House Fellow (Resident Assistant) in Witte Residence Hall, I counseled sixty undergraduate students through personal and academic struggles. Additionally, I was an intern at the Wisconsin Alliance for Women's Health, where I helped launch a website to help improve birth outcomes among underserved communities in Wisconsin.
I am so honored to be a part of the 3rd MSGC Cohort. I am excited to be a part of 果冻影院's program for its commitment to diversity woven into its core. Attending 果冻影院's program will make me a well-rounded genetic counselor with a comprehensive education, extensive involvement in research, and exposure to various types of genetic counseling while in the field. I am excited to serve Milwaukee's diverse population and find ways to best support numerous cultures, educational backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses through their genetic counseling journey.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, watching reality TV, and listening to copious amounts of Taylor Swift.
