Hometown:
Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Personal interests:

Traveling, taking nature walks, playing Sims and reading

Why HESP?:
I am excited to be able to come back home to Milwaukee and serve the communities that have contributed to my growth. Gaining hands-on experience with underrepresented/underserved communities early in my medical career will undoubtedly refine my skills and abilities as a holistic, understanding physician by the time I complete medical school.

Why are you interested in health equity?:

The stories I have heard, the care I have witnessed and the persistent mistrust between my community (the African-American community) and the health care system are what motivate me to apply my medical training to the space of health equity. I am confident that I can play a pivotal role in reshaping the perception and engagement of minority communities with the health care system.

What do you like about Milwaukee?:
My favorite thing about Milwaukee is twofold — my family and the food options!
