Personal interests:

Why HESP?:
My goal is to work against the unjust system by ensuring those who are underrepresented are no longer underserved, and they are approached with care and compassion. The program will help me build a strong network to further understand the unique circumstances within Milwaukee and similar communities.
Why are you interested in health equity?:
I grew up in a community that views the medical system as fear-inducing rather than healing. Growing up in Minneapolis, people commonly spoke about the harm that has been inflicted to people of color. I strive to alleviate disparities and believe health equity is the solution. My hope is to join the fight against disparate outcomes among marginalized groups, especially within Black communities.
What do you like about Milwaukee?:
I’m new to the city and I'm excited to explore. I look forward to attending Bucks and Brewers games!
