Biography
Dr. Ty Dunn is surgical director of the kidney and pancreas transplant programs and a professor of surgery at the ӰԺ. Her surgical focus is on kidney, pancreas and islet transplantation, and living kidney donation. She has been actively involved in clinical outcomes research and translational research throughout her career, with areas of interest including immunosuppression, antibody mediated rejection, retransplantation, paired exchange and organ allocation policy. She serves as an associate editor for Clinical Transplantation and is a regular ad hoc reviewer for the American Journal of Transplantation, Transplantation, and Pancreatology. Dr. Dunn has served on multiple regional and national committees concerning kidney, pancreas and islet transplantation and she has an international reputation in islet cell auto-transplantation for patients with chronic pancreatitis. Dr. Dunn is currently serving as an At-Large Councilor of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and as Vice Chair of the OPTN Pancreas Committee.
