Biography

Dr. Robert Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the ӰԺ in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology. He obtained his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine and then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA where he worked with Dr. Clement Finch (Hematology) and Nobel laureate E. Donnall Thomas (oncology and stem cell transplant.) While in Seattle, he also studied white blood cell physiology in the laboratory in collaboration with the Puget Sound Blood Center. Following his fellowship, he was appointed a faculty position at the University of Washington where he stayed until his subsequent transfer to Milwaukee in 1984. In Milwaukee, Dr Taylor started the autologous stem cell transplant program at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and has performed over 500 stem cell transplants. He was also co-chair of the VIA Oncology Pathways head and neck cancer group. His current interests are in hematologic malignancies and head and neck cancers. He is primarily seeing patient at the Zablocki VA Medical Hospital in Milwaukee.
