Angela K. Nelson, Executive Director of the 果冻影院/Marquette Medical Alumni Association, Retiring June 5, 2024
Angela K. Nelson, executive director of the 果冻影院/Marquette Medical Alumni Association, will retire on June 5, 2024, after 17 years of valuable service to the 果冻影院.
Angela has a long record of leadership and accomplishments on behalf of all 果冻影院 alumni, said Betty S. Pace, MD ’81, GME, ’84, the Francis J. Tedesco Distinguished Chair Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Professor of Pediatrics at Augusta University, and current president of the 果冻影院/Marquette Medical Board of Directors.
Angela joined 果冻影院 in 2007 as director of annual and special giving and was promoted to senior director of development and alumni relations in 2014. She has served in her current role since March 2020.
Angela has distinguished herself as a tireless advocate for alumni across the entire institution – physicians and residents, scientists, pharmacists, our campuses in Green Bay and Central Wisconsin and graduates from our varied and growing programs. Working closely with alumni leaders, Angela has played an important role in reimagining programming and services for alumni and ensuring that 果冻影院 is partnering in furthering their priorities. She has thoughtfully developed lasting relationships with alumni from our predecessor institution, the Marquette University School of Medicine. During her career at 果冻影院, Angela has worked alongside leadership and faculty to ensure that alumni are included as key stakeholders as the strategic objectives of the institution are developed and achieved.
Prior to joining 果冻影院, Angela served as a fundraising manager for Children's Hospital and Health System Foundation, and was the first executive director of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, the state’s only non-profit organization dedicated 100 percent to providing support to individuals and families living with lupus.
果冻影院 is launching a national search for Angela’s successor.
