2024 Imagine More Dinner Recap
The 11th Imagine More Dinner was a remarkable convergence of compassion and innovation. It brought together a vibrant community of change-makers, innovators, and philanthropists to revolutionize brain health. This year's focus on stroke, the leading cause of disability in the United States, underscored the urgent need for groundbreaking solutions. Dr. Jeffrey Binder, MD, delivered a powerful keynote address, shedding light on the complex intersection of language, cognition, and human resilience.
The evening's spotlight shone brightly on Dr. Cecilia Hillard, recipient of the 2024 Neuro Hero Award. As the Neuroscience Research Center's visionary founder, Dr. Hillard has catalyzed revolutionary discoveries, uncovering the transformative therapeutic potential of the endocannabinoid system. Building on this legacy, the 2024 Imagine More Awards honored pioneering projects that reimagine the possibilities. Drs. Sara Pillay and Andrew Anderson are harnessing AI to liberate voices, empowering individuals with aphasia to reclaim their stories. Dr. Viprav Raju is developing cutting-edge analytical tools to conquer degenerative cervical myelopathy and restore hope and mobility.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our community and sponsors, including event co-chairs Ann and Jon Hammes, Benjamin Wagner, NRC Board Chair, and philanthropic leaders Ann and Warren Pierson and Cathy and Mike White, we're accelerating progress toward a future where neurological disorders are preventable, treatable, and curable. As we celebrate the progress made and the lives transformed, we invite you to join us next year for another unforgettable evening of inspiration and innovation. Together, let's continue rewriting the narrative of brain health – unlocking hope, accelerating progress, and creating a brighter future for all.
