The division of surgical pathology works under a subspecialty sign-out system, with close working relationships with clinicians and surgeons and a full complement of cutting-edge clinical service lines.  The Pathology Residency Program encompasses 16 positions, and the department has active fellowship programs in GI/Liver Pathology, Cytopathology, Hematopathology, Breast/Gynecological Pathology, Pediatric Pathology, General Surgical Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine. The Division of Pediatric Pathology at Children鈥檚 Wisconsin (CW), within the Department of Pathology at the 果冻影院 (果冻影院), is seeking a full-time pediatric pathologist, to serve as Pediatric Anatomic Pathology Director. This position includes a full-time faculty appointment in the Department of Pathology at 果冻影院 at a rank and salary commensurate with experience. The successful candidate should hold an MD/DO degree or foreign medical equivalent, qualify for an unrestricted Wisconsin medical license, and be board eligible/board-certified in pediatric pathology.

果冻影院 offers an enriching environment for faculty with a myriad of clinical, educational, research, and leadership opportunities spanning the whole spectrum of academic pediatric pathology. Administrative duties will include Anatomic Pathology Directorship, with oversight of the surgical pathology & autopsy services and appointment as Medical Director of the CW Histology Laboratory. Clinical responsibilities include anatomic pathology work in the Division of Pediatric Pathology at CW with shared call responsibilities and autopsy coverage. Academic responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as well as participation in clinical, translational, or basic science research- with protected off-service time provided to pursue non-clinical mission work.

Children鈥檚 Wisconsin
Located in Milwaukee, WI, is a nationally recognized and ranked 298 bed pediatric hospital serving as the only free-standing pediatric children鈥檚 hospital in the state of Wisconsin. The pediatric oncology program sees approximately 40-50 new solid tumor diagnoses & 60-70 new hematopoietic malignancies annually, and robustly enrolls patients in Children鈥檚 Oncology Group and other clinical trials. CW is designated as a Level I Children鈥檚 Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons and has active heart, liver, and kidney transplant programs and is recognized as a 鈥淒iagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence鈥� by the American College of Radiology. CW is also a partner in the Wisconsin Institute of Neuroscience (WINS)- one of the nation鈥檚 first institutes designed to focus on the neurological needs of people from birth to old age.

The Division of Pediatric Pathology offers services in anatomic pathology, hematopathology, flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics, clinical chemistry, and microbiology. It offers subspecialty expertise in hematopathology, cytopathology, neuropathology, pediatric solid tumor pathology, vascular anomalies, and perinatal/placental pathology. Divisional faculty are strongly involved in the activities and leadership of the Children鈥檚 Oncology Group, Society for Pediatric Pathology, and other national and international organizations and participate in a robust global health program. The division has an ACGME-accredited pediatric pathology fellowship program and AP/CP residents routinely rotate on service. It annually handles over 7,000 surgical pathology & cytopathology specimens, 250 bone marrow specimens, 1,200 placentas, and 60 autopsies. The CW Laboratory performs nearly one-million tests at its CAP accredited main lab and four satellite laboratories each year. Divisional faculty direct the histology, imaging, and biobank cores of the Children鈥檚 Research Institute; providing resources to support pathology research efforts.

Children’s Wisconsin, located in Milwaukee, WI, is a nationally recognized and ranked 298 bed pediatric hospital serving as the only free-standing pediatric children’s hospital in the state of Wisconsin. The pediatric oncology program sees approximately 40-50 new solid tumor diagnoses & 60-70 new hematopoietic malignancies annually, and robustly enrolls patients in Children’s Oncology Group and other clinical trials. CW is designated as a Level I Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons and has active heart, liver, and kidney transplant programs and is recognized as a “Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence” by the American College of Radiology. CW is also a partner in the Wisconsin Institute of Neuroscience (WINS)- one of the nation’s first institutes designed to focus on the neurological needs of people from birth to old age.

The Division of Pediatric Pathology offers services in anatomic pathology, hematopathology, flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics, clinical chemistry, and microbiology. It offers subspecialty expertise in hematopathology, cytopathology, neuropathology, pediatric solid tumor pathology, vascular anomalies, and perinatal/placental pathology. Divisional faculty are strongly involved in the activities and leadership of the Children’s Oncology Group, Society for Pediatric Pathology, and other national and international organizations and participate in a robust global health program. The division has an ACGME-accredited pediatric pathology fellowship program and AP/CP residents routinely rotate on service. It annually handles over 7,000 surgical pathology & cytopathology specimens, 250 bone marrow specimens, 1,200 placentas, and 60 autopsies. The CW Laboratory performs nearly one-million tests at its CAP accredited main lab and four satellite laboratories each year. Divisional faculty direct the histology, imaging, and biobank cores of the Children’s Research Institute; providing resources to support pathology research efforts.

Vice-Chair of Anatomical Pathology
The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the 果冻影院 is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of the Vice-Chair of Anatomic Pathology.

The Vice-Chair of Anatomic Pathology will lead the division of Anatomic Pathology. The division is made up of 16 faculty who are part of a subspecialty sign-out system. The successful candidate will foster close multidisciplinary relationships across campus. This leadership role includes managing a full complement of cutting-edge clinical service lines. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the education, training, and development of fellows, residents, medical students, and allied sciences students. In addition, the Vice-Chair is an active part of the department’s leadership team. This position will work closely with the Department Chair and Department Administrator.
