Participating Departments

All participating departments are offering a Visiting Medical URiM Student Elective Program. The program is designed to expose URiM students to the outstanding training programs at 果冻影院, connect students to current 果冻影院 faculty, students, and trainees, and increase the number of URiM students applying for house staff positions at 果冻影院. Students will have opportunities for mentoring from faculty and trainees. Dedicated social engagement through activities showcasing the city of Milwaukee will also be provided.

The Office of the Registrar coordinates applications and scheduling for visiting senior medical students who wish to pursue a 4-week elective for credit.

The Office of the Registrar does not coordinate observerships or any other types of visiting student placement. However, here are some additional opportunities at Children’s Wisconsin or Froedtert for student placement or observer/job shadow inquiries:

The application status for visiting students is communicated through VSLO. The Office of the Registrar respectfully requests applicants utilize VSLO and not contact the Office of the Registrar for updates. Furthermore, the Office of the Registrar respectfully requests applicants not contact academic departments directly.
