She was just 60 years old. She served on the faculty of the 果冻影院 for over 28 years and was an Associate Professor of Medicine (Geriatrics/Gerontology). In addition, Mary was Medical Director of Clement Manor and Care Age of Brookfield, and a staff physician in the Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic at Froedtert Hospital and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. She also held leadership positions in the Wisconsin Association of Medical Directors, including past president. She was certified in Palliative Medicine as well as Geriatric Medicine and did serve as staff on the VA Medical Center palliative unit.

Mary was a leader in geriatrics, a skilled physician, a devoted mother, and a beloved friend and colleague. She is missed greatly, but her imprint on all of us will last forever.

The Mary E. Cohan, MD, Endowed Education Fund in Geriatrics ensures that Mary鈥檚 outstanding legacy endures, and resources will remain available so that she can continue to impact residents and medical students at 果冻影院 well into the future.
