About the Center for Disease Prevention Research at the ӰԺ

Stuart Wong, MD

Welcome to the Center for Disease Prevention Research at the ӰԺ. CDPR is committed to reducing chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity that are related to lifestyle modifications in southeast Wisconsin and throughout the region. CDPR aims to increase lifestyle medicine education in medical student curriculum; provide community outreach to organizations to support their lifestyle-based programming; and provide best practice support to improve employee wellness benefits.

Dr. Wong serves as the Director of CDPR and the Interim Associate Chief of Medical Oncology. As a cancer researcher and cancer care physician, Dr. Wong views cancer prevention as a critical issue. He has personally made the choice to follow a plant-based whole-food diet and has encouraged his patients to do the same. In both roles at ӰԺ, Dr. Wong’s goal is to educate patients and the community about disease prevention through nutrition and other healthy living choices.”
