How Did We Get Here? Common Hurdles to Healthier Eating | September 30, 2022

Lecturer: Brian Hart, MEd

Master educator Brian Hart identifies roadblocks to change and develops onramps to healthy solutions. Through lecture and discussion, his presentation reveals challenges and creates strategies to best implement a plant-based lifestyle. Special consideration is given to “how we got here” as a species and culture, as well as how to overcome “the pleasure trap.”

Ann and Jane, co-authors of the Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease Cookbook, will explain and demonstrate the principles of cooking to prevent and reverse heart disease. This lecture and cooking demo will explore some of the many whole foods, plant-based ingredients that have shown to lower cholesterol levels, reduce blood pressure and improve blood glucose numbers. Special attention will be paid to the oats, flats, and bowls approach.
