Welcome to the ӰԺ Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine

Our patients receive comprehensive care from our pulmonary and sleep physicians, advanced practice nurses, nutritionists and social workers. We are committed to providing outstanding patient care, instructing new physicians and nurses along with researching pulmonary diseases and treatments. All physicians are board certified or board eligible in pulmonary or sleep medicine.

The Pulmonary Medicine Program includes Wisconsin's only pediatric sleep center accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. It is one of only 25 accredited centers in the country dedicated solely to children.

In conjunction with the ӰԺ, providers at Children's Wisconsin are constantly conducting research to develop better treatments, enabling them to stay on the cutting edge of the latest therapies. The Pulmonary Medicine Program places special emphasis on cystic fibrosis care and research, and is a nationally accredited cystic fibrosis center.

Each year, we see more than 8,000 outpatients at Children’s Wisconsin main campus and another 2,500 inpatients at the Children's main campus.

Most recently, faculty and fellows in our division played an important role in identifying the condition which would become known as EVALI (E-cigarette or Vaping product use Associated Lung Injury). While EVALI is believed to have been caused by contamination from vitamin E acetate, there are other issues that remain. Faculty are involved in community advocacy as well as state and national legislative initiatives to limit the sale of vaping products to anyone <21 years of age
